Excited to invite you to Teatro Paraguas' staging of Esperanza, where I will be performing the role of Mrs. Salazar.
Written by Chicano playwright Carlos Morton, Esperanza is a beautiful adaptation of the 1954 film The Salt of the Earth, based on the 1951 miners' strike in Bayard, New Mexico. It is a story of the power of women and class solidarity against exploitation and racial segregation. I'm very proud to be part of this wonderful production and share it with all of you.
